Our virtual Gamefishing Competition has now concluded. We had fewer entries than in the past 4 years of this awesome Club Event but was still an exciting 2 months of fishing for the ladies. Due to covid times we had a different concept with no briefing. Our major Sponsor was Carrington Estate - 5 star Resort accomodation on the Karikari peninsular. They donated a fantastic 2 night accomodation package for two at the Estate. A wonderful place to visit, stay and  maybe play golf on the challenging golf course, with a beautiful Winery also to tempt the pallet with some beautiful wines. 

In our rules we stated in our prize list that percentage prizes to be won of entries for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Striped Marlin weighed, with lucky angler draw of any catergory of landed marlin not won. We only had one Marlin weighed in by Kate Sturge of 101.5kg. All lucky angler draws for prizes were drawn at a  Committee Meeting on 9th of May.  2nd lucky angler draw was Ali Lousley, 3rd was Ramari Jakobs.

The beautiful Tag and Release prize  was also drawn by Committe with four  ladies tagging Striped Marlin.  Ali Lousley tagged 2 and Lynda Matthews tagging 3 so as stated in the rules, the more each angler tags the more chances they had to win the accomodation prize.  Cindylee Joyce and Jolene Gravatt also had great sucess tagging one Marlin each.The lucky angler winner was Lynda Matthews, taking out the amazing prize  at Carrington Estate with free wine tasting. Big thanks to our Sponsor.

Kylee Harrison won the heaviest Kingfish of 14.5kg and she won a set of self painted  Marlin tile drinks coasters painted by our founder of our club Kevin Griffiths. Thanks also to Kev.

All prizes will be awarded at our Prizegiving, AGM, dinner in September. Date to be confirmed.
